“Three Decades of Structural Health Monitoring in Bridges: Achievements, Grand Challenges, and Future Trends”
by Prof. Eloi Figueiredo, Full Professor at Lusófona University (Portugal).

The seminar will provide an overview of the main achievements of the past three decades in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of bridges, highlighting recent developments in machine learning, stochastic finite element modeling, smartphone sensing, and transfer learning, as well as future challenges and the impact of climate change on infrastructure monitoring.
