Course description:
The objective of this course is to develop understanding of the reliability-based methods of structural analysis. The course covers the following major areas:
1. Review of fundamentals of theory of probability and statistics
2. Reliability analysis methods
3. Development of design codes
4. Probability-based models of load and load combinations
5. Probability-based models of resistance
6. Applications of reliability analysis to structural members and structural systems
