Course description (2 CFU):
The course aims to provide knowledge to evaluate the environmental impacts of plastics and bioplastics, giving particular importance to the degradation processes of bioplastics during the biological treatment of organic waste.
The topics covered include:
- environmental pollution of plastics;
- biological processes for waste treatment and the fate of microplastics;
- analytical methods to study plastics and bioplastics in organic matrices.
